2. Overview

This website informs about engineering.exchange. It has no user accounts, contact forms, newsletter, analytics, advertising or social media plugins, and it sets no cookies. Personal data is processed only as described below: technically when you visit the site, and when you write to us by email.

3. Hosting and server log files

The website is hosted by Hostinger (hostinger.com) on servers in Germany. Hostinger processes data on our behalf under a data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR.

When you visit the website, the server automatically records technical data: IP address, date and time of the request, page requested, referrer URL, browser type and version, and operating system. This data is needed to deliver the website and to protect it against misuse. It is not merged with other data. Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR; our legitimate interest is a secure and error-free website. Log files are deleted by the host after a short period, unless they are needed to investigate a security incident.

4. No cookies, no tracking

The website does not set cookies and does not store or read information on your device beyond what is technically necessary to display the page (§ 25 (2) TDDDG). We do not use analytics, advertising or tracking services.

5. Fonts and resources

All fonts, images and scripts are served from our own web space. No connection to third-party servers (such as font or content delivery networks) is made when you visit the website.

6. Contact by email

If you email us, for example to request early access, we process your email address, name and the content of your message to answer your request and, where relevant, to prepare a business relationship. Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR for requests related to a contract, otherwise Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR; our interest is answering enquiries. Emails are deleted when your request has been dealt with, unless statutory retention periods apply (6 years under § 257 HGB, 10 years under § 147 AO for commercial correspondence).

7. Your rights

You have the right to access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and to object to processing based on Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR on grounds relating to your particular situation (Art. 21). You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. The authority responsible for ReCoTech GmbH is the Berlin Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (Berliner Beauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit).

8. Encryption

The website is served only over encrypted connections (TLS), recognisable by "https://" and the lock symbol in your browser.

9. The engineering.exchange platform

The platform with user accounts, enquiries, file uploads and partner services is not yet open. When it launches, it will have its own privacy information, presented before registration.

10. Changes

We update this privacy policy when the website or legal requirements change. The current version is always available on this page.
